1. Data Collection

IAmSafe collects minimal data required for your safety:

• Contact email and display name from Google Sign-In.
• Your phone number (for identification).
• Names and phone numbers of your designated emergency contacts.
• Your device location (only collected when you actively use safety check-ins, to share with emergency contacts).

2. How We Use Data

We use your data strictly for:

• Sending you check-in reminders.
• Notifying your emergency contacts via SMS (including your last known location) if you miss a check-in.
• Managing your account and safety preferences.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Your contact info is shared only with our SMS providers (e.g., Twilio or Firebase) for the sole purpose of sending safety alerts.

4. Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your data at any time. You can clear your emergency contacts in the app settings.

To permanently delete your account and all associated data, open the app and go to: Settings → My Profile → Delete Account. This will immediately and permanently delete your account, including your profile, emergency contacts, and check-in history.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption and secure Firebase infrastructure to protect your data. Access is restricted only to authorized services needed to maintain your safety monitoring.

6. Changes

If we update this policy, the revised version will be available in the app. Continued use of IAmSafe after changes constitutes acceptance.
